Biodiversity and Gardening in Schools Feb

Patrick Hunt will present a talk on what to be doing in the garden this February. We will look at what is involved with organically growing a number of vegetables and fruits in February such as onions, broadbeans, garlic leeks, tomatoes and strawberries. We will also look at some wildlife friendly flowers, fruit trees and some beneficial native shrubs and trees to plant now in the dormant season and learn about how these will benefit the school and increase the wildlife there. The talk will include a slideshow and a practical demo on plant propagation techniques.
