Growing Food in the Home Garden

I have a monthly online Gardening talk Tuesdays at 8pm (See dates below) through Zoom. Each month I will be discussing what I am doing in the garden in terms of sowing, planting and harvesting. I will be covering both indoor and outdoor crops with lots of tips and advice for successful growing. I will also cover some edible ornamental plants and plants which are good for promoting wildlife in the garden. I have a strong interest in Organic and No-Dig growing and creating a functional and beautiful garden. The format of the class will be a 45minute presentation followed by a Q&A / further presentation for another 45minutes. Payment is made through PayPal and Zoom login details will be sent to you before each class.

Creating a Meadow with Yellow Rattle

This Zoom Class will explain all you need to know to create a wildflower meadow using Yellow Rattle. The class will cover everything from choosing a suitable site, sourcing seed, preparing the ground, sowing and ongoing management for the promotion of wildflowers. I will talk about my own meadow in the front garden and a number of wildflower species it contains using slides. The class is 45minutes in duration with and additional 45 minutes for Q & A

Composting Masterclass

Homemade compost is the best thing for feeding the soil in your vegetable garden. In this class I will explain the various methods of home composting and how to make that perfect blend of ingredients for the best organic matter money can't buy.

Winter Polytunnel Masterclass

 Make the most of you polytunnel or greenhouse this year. Indoor spaces can be very productive through the winter months. In this class I will be discussing how and what to grow when the summer crops have been cleared.

This class will cover all you need to know about setting up your garden for food growing from scratch. We will be looking at how to get started, choosing a site,  how big to make it,  where to source materials, seed and plants and how to minimize unnecessary work, gluts and how to keep a consistent flow of crops coming into the kitchen through the year.  The class is 45minutes in duration with and additional 45 minutes for Q & A
